~~ TINA MORENO ~~
MEASURE
Ask of me if I love you enough, And I will say, “what is enough?”
Is it enough for dawn to break And light the hopes of a gloaming world, For the sun to glow in the zenith And hurl its radiance on the leaves of our tree?
Is it enough for an irreverent gust To disturb the fervor of a zealous mind, For the wind to fan the flames And sweep the passion of an activist soul?
Is it enough for dusk to herald And proclaim the twilight of our years, For the night to clothe and cover The lust and sins of the past?
Is it enough for the stars to sparkle, The incandescent moon to cast a spell, For my love to hold your heart In chains, in my arms, forever?
